This course thoroughly prepares students for the administrative skills medical administrative assistants need to know. This program incorporates all of the front office tasks and skill sets essential for the current healthcare industry requirements. This course also covers material dealing with scheduling patients, patient intake, office logistics, compliance standards, patient education, general office policies and procedures, and basic medical terminology. This is a National Healthcareer Association (NHA) approved course. Upon completion of the course, students will be eligible to sit for the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam.

Meet Your Instructor
Veronica Hodges, MA, CPC, CPC-I, CMAA is a Medical Billing and Coding Instructor with 10 plus years experience teaching medical administrative courses. She also works as a remote coding auditor and physician educator. Veronica is a former practice manager. Veronica has conducted numerous E/M coding training courses for providers along with several coding courses for prospective coders. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from Lander University and a Masters of Arts in Health Services Management. She is credentialed through the American Academy of Professional Coders as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and a Certified Professional Coder – Instructor (CPC -I).
